Omega-3 EPA + DHA
Human research on cognitive performance and neuronal membrane structure.
DHA is an important structural component of neuronal cell membranes, while EPA and DHA have both been studied across a wide range of human cognitive outcomes.
IN GOLDMIND:FOCUS
EPA 625 mg · DHA 244 mg
From purified anchovy fish oil
Evidence overview
DHA is a major structural fatty acid in nervous-system tissue. Omega-3 supplementation has also been tested in randomized cognitive trials, with some formulations producing improvements in selected measures.
What human research has found
In a 26-week randomized trial of 310 healthy adults ages 25 to 49, an EPA-rich oil improved measures of global cognitive accuracy and speed compared with placebo.
Other omega-3 cognition trials, especially in cognitively healthy older adults, have been neutral. Results appear to depend on factors including age, baseline status, dose, duration, and the EPA:DHA formulation studied.
Dose in Goldmind:Focus
Goldmind:Focus provides 625 mg EPA and 244 mg DHA per daily serving.
That is 869 mg combined EPA plus DHA in every sachet.
Evidence limitations
Omega-3 trial results vary by age, baseline status, dose, duration, and EPA:DHA ratio.
Findings from one formulation cannot be assumed to apply to another.
Safety & use
Goldmind:Focus contains fish from anchovy. Do not use it if you are allergic to fish or another listed ingredient. If you take medication, have a medical condition, or are pregnant or nursing, discuss the product with a healthcare professional before use.
